1. When will my ATCPrep.com™ software be ready for download?

  You will receive an email with account information after completion of your order. You may download your software from your account instantly after we received your payment.


2. Can I order ATCPrep.com™ software as hard copy?

  ATCPrep.com™ software is delivered by download only. Still, you may save a backup copy of your download file on CD even though you may download the file from your account again any time.


3. May I resell ATCPrep.com™ software later?

  The license agreement for the use of ATCPrep.com™ software does not include the right to resell used copies of the software or share it with third parties.


4. Is the license period in which I may use ATCPrep.com™ software limited?

  No, the software can be used for an indeterminate period of time.


5. Will ATCPrep.com™ provide free updates for the software?

  Yes, our development team will provide updates for the software, e.g. in case of new AT-SAT tests. Updates can normally be downloaded free of charge. ATCPrep.com™ software also contains an auto-update client.


6. Does ATCPrep.com™ software run under Mac OS™ environments?

  ATCPrep.com™ software requires Microsoft Windows® system environments. If you use Windows® on your Mac or any system environment that supports Windows® programs ATCPrep.com™ software will run on your system. An emulation of a Windows® environment by VMWare or Parallels Desktop or a parallel installation of Windows® with Bootcamp are strategies to run Windows® programs on Macs.


7. I cannot open the ZIP-File™ I downloaded from my account.

  Browser problems may result in incomplete downloads. Internet Explorer® 5.5 is known to cause such problems. If you used Internet Explorer® 5.5 for the first download please try to download the software again using an alternative browser.


8. Score total of a training module does not correspond with performances stated.

  Scores for most training modules are compiled on an interpretation of results that takes several performance aspects into consideration. Response time, difficulty settings and performance in subtasks may influence total score. ATCPrep.com™ software preparation suite provides a detailed training manual for each test that also explains which aspects affect score.


9. The software fails to establish a connection with the internet.

  Please make sure your computer is connected with the internet and both software and firewall settings allow the program to establish a connection.


10. During running the Letter Factory Test, the computer is automatically doing everything itself and it is not allowing me to participate.

  Most of the modules contain subtasks which can be activated or deactivated (e.g. see "custom settings" at Letter Factory Test). If a subtask is disabled at this test (e.g Box Managtement, Quality Control...), the software conducts the subtask automatically because otherwise it will not be possible to work with the test usefully. If you are using the Training Assistant and your results are bad at some of the subtasks, the software only activates this bad-performed subtask. The other subtasks are done automatically by computer so you may concentrate on this single subtask you have to work by your own.


11. I always get Prohibited Airspace Border Crossing messages when I try to leave the airspace through an exit gate.

  This is because the aircraft are not centered to the exit gate (the arrow behind the call sign was centered but not the whole call sign including the arrow). Please center the whole string, then you do not get the Border Crossing error messages any longer.


12. On the Scan Test the ranges are not visible or unable to use them. It just tells me to identify the aircrafts without a range given.

  Please go to Windows Control Panel and Display settings there. There will be the possibility to change the text size. Please ensure that it is 100% (not 125 or 150%), or is about 90-96 DPI. Then the texts given are not cutted.


13. If I purchase the Windows™ edition through ATCPrep.com, can I use the iPad™ edition as well?

  We ask you to purchase the iPad™ edition through the App Store™ additionally. Unfortunately we cannot give the second edition away for free because of the high development efforts we have to port the software to several platforms. Thank you for understanding!


14. How do I get my test results synchronized between the iPad™ and the Windows™ edition?

  Just sign on the apps with the same ATCPrep.com™ username and password, then your results will be synchronized automatically. Please ensure that online connections are allowed in Settings menu of each app.
